Boxer Amir warns wife, parents over domestic tussle

Amir Khan said he respects his parents and wife and wants them to sort out the matter.

LAHORE (Dunya News) – Famous Pakistani-born boxer Amir Khan has strictly warned his parents and wife to stop discussing domestic issues publicly.

In an Snapchat post which he shared on Twitter, Khan said that the dispute should be resolved or else my parents will lose a son and my wife will lose a husband.

He also said that he respects his parents and wife and wants them to sort out the matter as soon as possible.

Earlier, Amir Khan’s parents responded to the allegations made by his wife Faryal Makhdoom Khan. They said that they refrained the model from wearing clothes that were against Shariah but declined all claims of mental and physical abuse.

The world champion’s parents said that when their son purchased a new home, she made an issue out of that as well.

They said that they can never think about torturing their son’s wife. However, they claim that they had pointed out that Faryal’s dressing was not conforming to the Islamic faith which is why they asked her to stop wearing such irreligious clothes.

Further, Khan’s wife claimed of being subjected to domestic abuse. She made a series of allegations about her in-laws’ misbehaving with her. Some of the accusations made by Faryal include Amir’s family cropping her out of the family photo, throwing a TV-remote and slapping her.

In a Snapchat post, she said, "Don’t get your sons married if you’re going to abuse and bully the wife. I’ve always been so quiet but seriously, this message is for everyone! When you bring someone’s daughter, treat her as your own. Your son will be much happier and so will you."
