SEOUL (Web Desk) – Pakistan’s Muhammad Waseem successfully defended his World Boxing Council (WBC) silver flyweight title after defeating Philippines’ Giemel Magramo in Seoul, South Korea on Sunday.



Known as ‘Falcon Khan’ for his swift boxing style, the 28-year-old outplayed Magramo in a tough 12-round fight.

The Quetta-born boxer put a dent on Magramo’s record who was undefeated in his previous 17 bouts (13 knockouts) and previously held the WBC International flyweight belt. 

Waseem, Pakistan’s first professional boxer, had won the WBC silver flyweight title in July this year after defeating favourite Jether Oliva from the Philippines.
