Afridi said those being affected by terrorism are now into sports.

PESHAWAR (Dunya News/AP) – Owner of Peshawar Zalmi, Javed Afridi on Friday has said that all international players of his team are ready to visit Lahore if they qualify for Pakistan Super League (PSL) final.

According to details, Pakistani visas have been issued to Zalmi captain Darren Sammy, Marlon Samuels, Chris Jordan, David Malan and Samit Patel.

"I want to give (the) good news that all our five foreign players have been issued visas for Pakistan," Afridi said. "When they will come to Lahore it will be a big thing for the Pakistan Super League."

He said that not only cricket but other sports would also been promoted in the country after PSL. He said those being affected by terrorism are now into sports.

Afridi made the announcement hours before Peshawar Zalmi took on the Karachi Kings in the last knockout match in Dubai to decide which team will meet Quetta Gladiators in Sunday’s domestic Twenty20 final at the Gaddafi Stadium.

Meanwhile, Darren Sammy termed Pakistan and Peshwar Zalmi his ‘love’.

Moreover, Peshawar Zalmi have to win playoff match against Karachi Kings to qualify for final scheduled on March 5 in Lahore.

Earlier, all four of the Quetta Gladiators’ foreign players - Kevin Pietersen, Luke Wright, Tymal Mills and Rilee Rossouw - have pulled out from the final because of security concerns.

Pakistan Super League chairman Najam Sethi said both teams in the final would have four foreign players, although which four represent Quetta is yet to be determined.

The government has promised high-level security for the final, with at least 7,000 police officers expected to be deployed around the stadium.

Imran Khan had also criticized the government’s decision to go ahead with hosting the final and said it will serve no purpose in convincing foreign teams to resume international cricket in Pakistan.

Pakistan has not hosted any major test playing nation since 2009 when Sri Lanka team bus was attacked on the way to a match at Lahore.
