The protesting community demanded to issue legal license to the Arab royals for hunting.

BHAWALPUR (Dunya News) – The different social work organizations in Bhawalpur’s Yazman staged a protest rally today (Wednesday) against banning Houbara Bustard’s hunt in Pakistan.

According to the protesters, the ban on Hourbara Bustard’s hunt can not only jeopardize the country’s economy but also the 247 agreements signed with United Arab Emirates (U.A.E). They said that the protests were carried out in Rahimyar Khan, Bhawalpur and Rajanpur, urging the authorities to uplift the ban.

The protesting community also demanded to issue legal license to the Arab royals to hunt in the country as there was a provision in the law that allows birds  hunting under specific guidelines.

They said that the government should void the ban so that their livelihood can be retained.

However, the government and its officials are under pressure to stop Arab royals from hunting as the smugglers have come up with new ways to deport the rare Houbara Bustards out of the country for keeping their business afloat.
