PM Imran Khan takes notice of Lahore Motorway rape incident
The woman was robbed and raped by dacoits late Wednesday night
ISLAMABAD (Dunya News) - Prime Minister Imran Khan has taken notice of recent sexual assault crimes reported in Lahore and Karachi, specifically the rape of a woman on Lahore Ring Road and murder of a 5 year old child after being raped in Karachi.
According to details, Federal Minister Faisal Vawda called on Prime Minister Imran Khan in which the political and national situation was discussed in detail.
According to sources, Faisal Vawda raised the issue of Marwa, the 5 year old girl who was killed after being raped in Karachi and another rape incident that took place with a woman on Lahore Ring Road late Wednesday night.
Taking note of these incidents, Prime Minister Imran Khan said that such crimes are extremely shameful for any civilized society, law enforcement agencies have been tasked with arresting the culprits at the earliest.
Sources said that Faisal Vawda demanded from the Prime Minister that a law to hang the perpetrators of rape should be introduced, saying that they should be hanged to set an example for such criminals.
Faisal Vawda suggested to the Prime Minister that if the execution can not be implemented then there should be a law for castration of such heinous criminals. Imran Khan vowed to punish the perpetrators severely and said that all possible steps would be taken to protect human rights.
