Petition seeking removal of Sharifs' names from ECL fixed for hearing
Justice Mamoon Rashid Sheikh will begin hearing of the case today.
LAHORE (Dunya News) – Lahore High Court (LHC) on Tuesday fixed petition seeking removal of name of Pakistan Muslim League Nawaz (PML-N) supremo Nawaz Sharif, Maryam Nawaz and Capt (rtd) Safdar from Exit Control List (ECL) for hearing.
As per details garnered, Hon’ble Justice Mamoon Rashid Sheikh will begin hearing of the case today (Tuesday).
The court has directed petitioner to submit copy of govt’s order pertaining to placing Sharifs on ECL. The petitioner has informed court that Interior Ministry is not providing the copy of written orders.
The names of former premier Nawaz Sharif and his daughter Maryam Nawaz had been placed on the Exit ECL after orders of the Federal Cabinet.
