ISLAMABAD (Dunya News) – Additional attorney general on Thursday has told the Supreme Court (SC) that Prime Minister (PM) Imran Khan has already applied for the regularization of his residence in Bani Gala.

A three-judge bench headed by Chief Justice of Pakistan (CJP) Mian Saqib Nisar heard the case regarding illegal constructions in the suburbs of the federal capital.

During the proceedings, the regularization committee sought 10-day time from the apex court to submit its report.

Meanwhile, CJP expressed resentment over the absence of defence lawyer Babar Awan and directed 65 people including PM Imran to regularize their properties.

Earlier, the top judge had directed the premier to set an example for others by becoming the first one to pay fine for regularization of his Bani Gala land.

Imran Khan raised this issue and now when he has become Prime Minister of Pakistan, everything is in his hands, he added.

CJP had also ordered the committee to cancel lease of the companies who fail to fulfill the rules.

Furthermore, SC had ordered the concerned authorities to demolish illegal constructions in surroundings of Nala Korang, Bani Gala, following the recommendations of Survey of Pakistan (SP).

Additional Attorney General said that Nala Korang was full of garbage due to which its water flow was stopped.
