KARACHI (Dunya News) – Pakistan Peoples Party (PPP) leaders on Sunday stated that thousands of ballot papers bearing stamps on symbol of arrow [PPP’s electoral symbol in General Elections 2018] have been recovered from garbage dump in Qayyumabad area of Karachi.

Ghani was addressing a presser here in Karachi today along with other PPP’s leaders.

“Transparent elections were not held across country. Even candidates were barred from carrying mobile phones inside polling stations”, Ghani told reporters.

Crying foul over defeat in General Elections 2018, Ghani claimed that voters’ ratio was curbed premeditatedly. He alleged, “Ballot papers of PPP and other political outfits were put out of the ballot boxes while those of ‘specific party’ were inserted inside the ballot boxes”.

Speaking on the occasion, Maula Bakhsh Chandio hurled allegations that efforts were underway to ensure victory of the ‘pawns’ in Sindh.

Chandio alleged that returning officers (ROs) were taken hostage to meddle with outcomes of the winning candidates. Chadnio warned that stalwarts have been fumed by such actions.

“Ostensibly, it seems that someone wants to deliberately worse the situation in the country”, asserted Chandio.

Apparently, it seems that Bilawal-led PPP is not content with the election results in Sindh particularly Karachi as their main foes Pakistan Tehreek-e-Insaf (PTI) has managed to secure as many as 13 seats in the National Assembly of the metropolis. The biggest shocker came from Karachi’s Lyari where PPP chairman Bilawal Bhutto Zardari lost polls to novice PTI’s candidate.

MQM-P is on the second spot in Karachi with four seats of lower house of parliament. Mustafa Kamal-led PSP failed in securing even a single seat.
