Downpour submerges low-lying localities, roads in Lahore

The city has received 140 mm rain.

LAHORE (Dunya News) – Intermittent torrential rain with thunderstorm on Tuesday has inundated parts of Lahore.

According to Pakistan Meteorological Department (PMD), the city has received 177 mm rain.



The heavy rain has drowned the city after which roads, and streets have been turned into a pool portraying mismanagement of the administration.

As the rain started, it resulted in the power outages in various areas of the city.

Due to heavy rain, 215 LESCO feeders were tripped in Lahore whereas at least six were killed in the rain-related incidents.

The people faced power outage in areas of Jallo, Harbanspura, Mughalpura, Baghbanpura and Daroghawala Berki, President, Dharmurpur, Garhi Shahho.



The Met office has predicted more rains and thunderstorm today and tomorrow.
