Asif Zardari owns assets worth Rs758 million

Zardari is going to contest General Election 2018 from NA-213 Nawabshah.

ISLAMABAD (Dunya News) – Election commission of Pakistan (ECP) has released the assets’ details of Pakistan Peoples Party (PPP) co-Chairman Asif Ali Zardari today (Wednesday) stating that Zardari owns assets worth more than Rs758, 669,073.

However, according to ECP, former President of Pakistan has possession of 349 acres of agricultural land, with 7399 acres of farmland holding on lease which is his main source of income besides business.

ECP, even so, revealed that Mr Zardari had earned PKR134, 016,650 from his agricultural land; while, in 2017, PKR97, 51,500 abridged from other businesses; and in form of tax, he paid PKR97, 51,400.

In 2016, MR Zardari had paid Rs21, 05,565 in terms of taxes while he made profit of Rs114, 085,000 and Rs82, 45,900 from agriculture and business respectively.

Furthermore, the PPP co-chairman earned Rs105, 560,000 from agriculture and Rs76, 66,000 from other businesses. He paid Rs19, 05,600 in taxes in 2015.

The former president has submitted an affidavit, declaring he is not a dual national.

Zardari is going to contest General Election 2018 from NA-213 Nawabshah.


Maryam Nawaz Assets Details


While on the other hand, assets details of Pakistan Muslim League-Nawaz (PML-N) leader Maryam Nawaz has been unveiled by ECP stating she owns of Rs845 million of assets.

According to details, Maryam Nawaz possesses five mills including Chaudhry Sugar Mills and Hudaibiya Paper Mills while she also has 1,506 kanal lands under her name.

Maryam Nawaz has received gifts worth Rs 4.92 crore so far whereas she possesses jewelry worth Rs 1.7 million.
The daughter of ousted premier is a debtor of Rs 2.89 crore while she has carried out foreign visits worth Rs6.4 million in three years.


Imran Khan’s assets details


According to documents, which was submitted to ECP, Imran Khan owns the property worth Rs30.86 million including 168 acres agricultural land and 14 other properties across Pakistan.

However, the PTI chief earned Rs4, 776,611 last year, as per the record submitted to ECP while his major source of earnings are farming, salary and bank profits.

Besides these, Khan paid Rs303, 763 in taxes last year.
