Interior minister says he has no role in appointment of Uzma Qureshi

ISLAMABAD (Dunya News) – Interior Minister Ahsan Iqbal has said that nobody has the right to insult vice chancellors.

“I have no role in the appointment of Uzma Qureshi and have always played an active role in the education sector,” he said while speaking at Dunya News’ programme “Dunya Kamran Khan Kay Sath” on Wednesday.

“If anybody wants to say anything against someone he should adopt a proper forum,” he said, adding: “The chief justice of Pakistan should file chargesheet against me.”

The interior minister added, “We all are well wishers of the country. We rejected multiple offers from foreign countries and gave our lives to serve the country.”

Ahsan Iqbal went on to say that no prime minister could complete his tenure as yet. “The country will not prosper if we don’t change this attitude,” he warned.
