PM Abbasi meets Khurshid Shah, discusses candidates for caretaker PM
A consensus has been developed between PML-N and PPP over ex-CJ Tassaduq Hussain as caretaker PM.
ISLAMABAD (Dunya News) – Prime Minister (PM) Shahid Khaqan Abbasi met Opposition Leader in National Assembly (NA) Khurshid Shah and discussed candidates for caretaker PM.
As per details, names of former finance minister Dr Hafeez Pasha, former chief justice Tassaduq Hussain Jillani and former governors of State Bank Dr Shamshad and Ishrat Hussain were taken under consideration.
Reportedly, a consensus has been developed between Pakistan Muslim League-Nawaz (PML-N) and Pakistan Peoples Party (PPP) over the name of ex-CJ Tassaduq Hussain Jillani.
It is to be mentioned here that Prime Minister (PM) Shahid Khaqan Abbasi has rejected opposition leader’s offer to dissolve the government a day before the due date.
Khurshid Shah has started negotiation over caretaker PM names from Pakistan Tehreek-e-Insaf’s (PTI) Shah Mahmood Qureshi and Shirin Mazari and sought a time period of one week to decide the names of the candidates.
He said that the parties are trying to decide the name of caretaker PM before May 15.
