CTD, intelligence agencies arrest six terrorists in Lahore
The officers said that interrogation from the detainees has been launched for further revelation.
LAHORE (Dunya News) – Counter Terrorism Department (CTD) and intelligence agencies on Friday arrested at least six militants who were planning a terror attack during the matches of Pakistan Super League (PSL) in Karachi.
According to details, one suicide attacker Luqman and five facilitators were taken into custody during a joint raid in parts of metropolis.
The arrested terrorists that include Islam-ul-Haq, Jahangir Shah, Imran, Waqar and Aleem were also involved in Bedian Road and Ferozpur Road attacks.
Explosives, weapons and suicide vests were also recovered from the possession of the suspects.
The officers said that the detainees have confessed to hold a suicide attack during the matches at Gaddafi Stadium. They said that the interrogationf rom them is underway for more revelation.
The security personnel said that they had been chasing the group since March 9.
