Imran Khan announces to contest election from Karachi

KARACHI: (Dunya News) – Pakistan Tehreek-e-Insaf Chief—in a surprise announcement—has revealed that he would contest general elections 2018 from Karachi too.
He was visiting different areas of Karachi during the party membership campaign. Khan said the politics of Karachi revolves around creation of conflicts and vowed to make Karachi again ‘city of lights’.
While commenting on the crippling water crisis, Khan claimed that PTI—if forms government—would solve the issue of tanker mafia once and for all.
Earlier, addressing Doctors’ forum in a local hotel in Karachi, Khan termed 2018 polls a decisive moment for Pakistan’s future, Khan lambasted provincial governments of Sindh and Punjab for being being indulged in unabated corruption.
Keeping verbal onslaught up, Khan accused Sindh government of virtually clipping all powers of Karachi Mayor. He linked restoration of peace in Karachi with reforms in the police department.
