Mir Hazar Khan Bijarani will be laid to rest today
Body of Sindh Minister Mir Hazar Khan Bijarani was shifted to his ancestral town Karampur.
KARACHI (Dunya News) – Body of Sindh Planning and Development Minister Mir Hazar Khan Bijarani was shifted to his ancestral town Karampur on Thursday night.
Post-mortem of the minister and his wife was completed late Thursday evening at the Jinnah Postgraduate Medical Centre and Bijarani s body was shifted Sukkur from where it was taken to Karampur.
Funeral prayer of Mir Hazar Khan Bijarani will be offered in Karampur today (Friday) at 2:00pm while the funeral prayer of his Fareeha Razzaq will be offered in Karachi.
Sindh’s Minister for Planning and Development Mir Hazar Khan Bijarani and his wife Fareeha Razzaq were found dead at their residence in Karachi on Thursday morning.
According to reports, the couple’s bodies were found in their bedroom, the door to which was locked. Police could not ascertain the cause of death.
PPP leader Nasir Hussain Shah said the preliminary investigation shows that both were shot in the head. He said there was no sign of stress on Bijrani’s face when he attended the cabinet meeting yesterday (Wednesday).
"He (Hazar Bijrani) was not that person who would commit suicide," Shah said
Facts would be unearthed only after the investigation and exemplary punishment will be given if any person found involved in this incident, he warned.
