ISLAMABAD (Dunya News) – Chief Minister of Punjab (CM) Shehbaz Sharif appeared before National Accountability Bureau (NAB) in Ashiana Housing scandal.

The minister said that he will leave his post if corruption of a single penny will prove against him.

It is to be mentioned here that NAB’s decisions came after the complaints regarding an ‘illegal deal’ between the companies of the Paragon Housing Scheme and the Punjab Land Development Company (PLDC) were received.

The bureau had alleged that over Rs1.2 billion loss has was caused to the national treasure in violation of the rules and regulations.

Ashiana Housing Scheme was an initiative of the Punjab government to provide economical residential facilities to the people with low-incomes. The provincial authorities had invested Rs2 billion while acquiring 672 kanal Baba Noor Shah shrine.
