Awami Muslim League (AML) chief Sheikh Rasheed recommended him to tender his resignation: Imran

LAHORE (Dunya News) – Pakistan Tehreek-e-Insaf (PTI) chief Imran Khan has said that curse upon the parliament that legislates for re-election of an alleged criminal as a head of a political party.

Khan said that a united opposition stands by Pakistan Awami Tehreek (PAT) chief Dr Tahirul Qadri on Model Town massacre issue.

He rhetorically asked how could a chief minister (CM) be unaware of gunfire and killings on the streets when Punjab Police was the force that resorted to firing.

He alleged that Pakistan Muslim League-Nawaz (PML-N) is repeatedly attacking the courts and that state minister Abid Sher Ali’s father alleged that law minister Rana Sanaullah murdered 18 persons.

He said that Awami Muslim League (AML) chief Sheikh Rasheed recommended him to tender his resignation as Member of National Assembly (MNA).

Khan said that he could have resigned as MNA long ago during D-Chowk sit-in but the parliament is a platform where people’s representatives talk about people’s issues and he alone cannot take the decision for greater good.

However, he said that a parliament which moves for re-election of a criminal as a party’s head deserves to be cursed.

He said that no police in the world opens fire on fellow citizens. They resort to force against terrorists and criminals, he said. Khan said that 11 girls were murdered in the past 11 months in Kasur whereas as many as eight criminals were caught within 24hours in Dera Ismail Khan and at least 55 persons were sent to jail in Mashal Khan lynching case.

Perpetrators of a crime are tried and sentenced in the least delay possible in Khyber Pakhtunkhwa (KP) province, PTI chief claimed.

He said that the people of KP province trust their police whereas Punjab Police recruited several criminal, Khan alleged. He said that son of the chief minister, Hamza Shehbaz appoints DSP and that those who destroy police system cannot correct the department.
