Zainab's murder: Normalcy returns to Kasur after strike called off

Rangers and police personnel are still deployed at sensitive places.
KASUR (Dunya News) – The situation in Kasur on Friday has partially normalized after two days of seven-year-old Zainab’s brutal murder as the traders have called off shutter down strike.
The negotiations between Rangers and administration were positively concluded yesterday as maximum educational institutions have been opened today whereas the transportation can also be witnessed on the roads.
Queues were seen at breakfast markets in the early morning whereas the traffic flow has also been restored in the metropolis.
However, Rangers and police personnel are still deployed at sensitive places to avoid any untoward situation. The officers have requested the citizens to not violate law and order.
On the other hand, Zainab’s murderer is still at large despite operations launched by the security forces while investigation from the arrested suspicious people is also underway to collect further evidence.
Earlier, the enraged protesters besieged civil hospital and chanted slogans against the administration. They also blocked main road for traffic, demanding to hang the culprit in public so that no such incident will happen in future.
Funeral prayers of those died in police firing were also offered in Kasur.
Zainab was kidnapped from Road Kot when her parents left for Saudi Arabia to perform Umrah. The girl was strangled to death after being raped. Police officers recovered her body from a garbage heap near Zaki Ada.
Her funeral prayer was led by Pakistan Awami Tehreek (PAT) Chief Tahir-ul-Qadri and offered by flocks of people.
Many politicians, activists condemned the death of the young girl and urged to bring the culprits to justice in tweets that flooded Twitter.
It is to be mentioned here that as many as 12 children have been killed after rape in Kasur in one year whereas police officers have killed three people involved in such criminal activities.
