Jadhav confessed he was spy before wife, mother: Indian media

Pakistan had arranged a meeting of Kulbhushan Jadhav with his wife and mother on December 25.

MUMBAI (Dunya News) – India’s newspaper the Times of India has revealed that Kulbhushan Jadhav confessed before his wife and mother that he was a spy in their meeting that was arranged by the Pakistan Foreign Office.

The newspaper report that Jadhav told his wife Chetankul and mother Avanti that he was involved in terrorist activities in Pakistan. Avanti inquired angrily that why he was giving such statements as he used to do business in Iran and was kidnapped from there.

Kulbhushan Jadhav responded that he was not a businessman and was in fact a spy. Meanwhile, External Affairs Minister Sushma Swaraj spoke on Jadhav’s issue in the Lok Sabha today (Thursday) and blamed Pakistan of mistreating the visitors.

It is worth mentioning here that Pakistan had arranged a meeting of terrorist Kulbhushan Jadhav with his wife and mother on December 25 as a humanitarian gesture.

Jadhav was arrested in March 2016 from Balochistan. The in-service Indian navy officer was tried by a military court and sentenced to death after he confessed to be working against China-Pakistan Economic Corridor (CPEC), creating unrest in Balochistan and parts of Pakistan on orders of the Indian intelligence agency.
