India provides cover to non-state actors to plant IEDs at LoC: FO

The FO has warned Indian government that aggression at the borders would not be tolerated.

ISLAMABAD (Dunya News) – Foreign Office (FO) has condemned ceasefire violations by India along the Line of Control (LoC) on Tuesday to provide cover for non-state actors to plant IEDs.

Spokesperson for the foreign office, Dr Faisal stated that Indian Deputy High Commissioner was summoned to the ministry and lodged protest with over ceasefire violations that claimed lives of three Pakistani soldiers.

The FO has warned Indian government that aggression at the borders would not be tolerated and neighbouring state should probe the incident.

“He categorically rejected the Indian claims that there was any crossing of the LoC by the Indian forces. The Indian actions got a befitting response from the Pakistani side and their guns were silenced,” a statement of the FO read.

The statement added: “He urged that the Indian side should permit UNMOGIP to play its mandated role as per the UN Security Council resolutions.”
