Khatm-e-Nabuwwat Conference: Several PML-N leaders submit resignations to Pir Hameeduddin Sialvi

FAISALABAD (Dunya News) – In a major blow to Pakistan Muslim League-Nawaz (PML-N), several disgruntled leaders submitted their resignations to custodian of Dargah Sial Sharif, Pir Hameeduddin Sialvi on Sunday.

The move came during the Khatm-e-Nabuwwat (PBUH) Conference of Sunni Ittehad Council in Faisalabad’s Dhobi Ghaat Ground led by Sialvi who announced his dissociation from Pakistan Muslim League-Nawaz a few days earlier.

 

At least two Members of Nationa Assembly (MNAs), three Members of Provincial Assembly (MPAs), local government representatives and party officials tendered their resignation in the conference.

Sialvi has also reiterated demand for a resignation by the Punjab law minister Rana Sanaullah over his stance on the finality of Prophethood (PBUH).

Speaking in Prophethood finality conference, Pir Hamid-ud-Din Sialvi said that their cause is devoid of political ambitions and only for the sake of the finality of the prophet and asserted that this principle is not be compromised.

He stressed that Pakistan was made in the name of Islam and the law of this religion will be implemented in this country.

In the conference, it was announced that next procession will be held in Lahore over Rana Sanaullah s reluctance to resign.
