LAHORE (Dunya News) – Punjab law minister Rana Sanaullah has said on Tuesday that he would not tender his resignation as demanded by a right-wing group demonstrating sit-in protest outside Punjab Assembly.

While conversing with anchorperson Kamran Shahid in programme ‘On The Front’, Sanaullah said that  those who have  mediated between the federal government and Faizabad protesters should talk with those protesting in Lahore.

The law minister claimed that protesters outside Punjab Assembly never demanded for him to resign. They have gotten the resignation they had demanded, Sanaullah added.

Earlier today, religious parties protesting outside the assembly demanded for the law minister to resign and warned to continue the sit-in protest until their demands are met.

Earlier this week, Faizabad sit-in protest was called off after 22 days that had sparked countrywide protests however, workers of the parties continued sit-in in Lahore as chief of Tehreek Labbaik Ya Rasool Allah (TLYRA) expressed reservations over the agreement signed between the government and the protesters.
