Routine-life activities partially resume after Rizvi calls-off sit-in

TLY announced to called-off sit-in today.

KARACHI, LAHORE, PESHAWAR, MULTAN (Web desk)- Life is eventually turning to normal across Pakistan after Abbasi-led embattled civilian government caved-in to protesters’ demand following 22-day-long sit-in and violent protests which brought country to a standstill.

A formal declaration in this regard was made by Tehreek-e-Labbaik chief Khadim Rizvi today (November-27) after Federal Law Minister Zahid Hamid tendered resignation. Rizvi said he had assurances that the demands of his group would be met.

Soon after Rizvi’s announcement, TLY’s protesters started to disperse across country.


Karachi


As per latest reports, large as well as small markets across metropolis have been opened whereas goods transporters have also initiated service. Likewise, intra-city traffic have also been restored. The protesters dispersed peacefully.


Peshawar


Routine-life activities also resumed in Khyber Pakhtunkhwa’s capital Peshawar as protesters called-off sit-in at 11:30AM. Ring road was opened for traffic after administration removed hurdles. Our correspondent has reported that main markets have also been opened.


Multan


All sections of motorway has been opened for traffic whereas big and small markets have also resumed routine activities. Likewise, inter-city transport was also restored.


Lahore


Protest rallies are expected to be called-off after Zuhr prayers in Punjab’s capital Lahore. Meanwhile, sit-in protesters outside Punjab Assembly are also preparing to disperse. It is pertinent to mention here that Mall road was closed for all type of traffic after protesters continued sit-in.
