Accountability court authorizes non-bailable arrest warrant against Ishaq Dar

ISLAMABAD (Dunya News) – National Accountability Bureau (NAB) has requested the Interior Ministry to put Dar’s name in ECL following the Accountability Court’s authorization of non-bailable arrest warrant against Ishaq Dar. NAB also requested to declare Ishaq Dar wanted.

On the other hand, Judge Muhammad Bashir has issued three paged court order which holds that Ishaq Dar had submitted Dr Christopher Baker’s medical report regarding his health following Dr Ranjeet’s report and one of the reports was regarding angiography while the other was regarding Dar’s heart’s valve but Dr Ranjeet’s report is not new and was prepared on November 6 so the court rejects Dar’s request for ‘Exception’ for his failure to present himself in court as the accused was deliberately absent from the court.

Earlier, Finance Minister Ishaq Dar was invalidated as approver in the Hudaibiya Paper Mills case as the National Accountability Bureau (NAB) had indicted the minister again.

The decision was announced in a press release that was issued by the NAB on Wednesday. It was stated in the document that investigations against Ishaq Dar has been started in the light of Supreme Court (SC) of Pakistan’s verdict.

The NAB statement mentioned that Dar was nominated as an accused in the initial Hudaibiya Paper Mills reference but he agreed to become approver later, and has been indicted again as the reference is quashed now.
