Chief Justice Saqib Nisar held the hearing in his chamber on the appeals of PTI leaders.

ISLAMABAD (Dunya News) – The Supreme Court (SC) of Pakistan has on Wednesday granted Pakistan Tehreek-e-Insaf (PTI) more time to prepare for the foreign funding cases that it had filed against Pakistan Muslim League-Nawaz (PML-N) and Pakistan Peoples Party (PPP) in the apex court, and adjourned the hearing indefinitely.

According to the details, Chief Justice Saqib Nisar held the hearing in his chamber on the appeals of PTI leaders Shireen Mazari and Asad Umar. PTI counsel Faisal Chaudhry told the court that he was busy in other cases and could not prepare for the appeals. He requested the SC to give him some time for preparation, and the plea was upheld.

Let it be known that Asad Umar had submitted an appeal against PML-N for alleged foreign funding while the same allegation was made by Shireen Mazari against PPP.

However, the registrar had objected to the appeals for not submitting them to the relevant forum, to which both party members lodged pleas against the objection of the registrar as well. The appeals were then set for hearing in Chief Justice’s chamber on November 15 (today).
