AIG Hamid Shakeel among three martyred in Quetta suicide blast
The victims have been shifted to the civil hospital for medical assistance.
QUETTA (Dunya News) – Additional Inspector General (AIG) Hamid Shakeel Durrani among three officers embraced martyrdom in a suicide blast in Quetta’s Chaman Housing Scheme today (Thursday).
The blast occurred when AIG Hamid was going to office from his house.
Assistant Sub-Inspector (ASI) Ramzan and driver Jalil Ahmed also lost their lives while nine other officers sustained severe wounds in the explosion, confirmed Senior Superintendent in Police (SSP) Operations Naseebullah.
He also revealed that 10 to 15 kg exlopive material was used in the bomb.

The security personnel immediately cordoned off the entire area and shifted the victims to hospital for medical assistance while a hand grenard was also recovered from the scene.

Two police vans and motorcycles also got damaged in the blast.
Meanwhile, Chief Minister of Balochistan Sanaullah Zahri strongly condemned the attack and summoned report as early as possible. He also expressed condolence to the bereaved families.
