Dr Farooq Sattar, Mustafa Kamal arrive for separate meetings with party members
MQMP chief and Mustafa Kamal convened separate meetings with top brass of individual parties.
Upon arrival, Dr Sattar said that the party leadership wishes to serve the people of the province in a better way. He said that members of MQMP reserve a political ideology and that the party stands for a movement.
PSP chief Mustafa Kamal was thrown questions at by media personnel to which he responded by saying that the lawmakers would lay bare details of the meeting in a shortwhile.
Watch what Kamran Tesori of MQMP has to say about the surprising development today:
Kamal vowed that all the struggle and efforts being put up were for the nation and the country.
Both Dr Sattar and PSP chief did not indulge themselves in a formal media talk ahead of the meeting and took up questions as they moved inside.
Reportedly, Shabbir Qaimkhani of MQMP has demonstrated a walk-out in the party meeting voicing disagreement over alliance proposal. In a brief media talk, Shabbir Qaimkhani said that there is no reason to join hands with PSP. If this was to be done at some point, the leadership could have done it way earlier.

Khawaja Izhar urges to not speculate
Opposition leader in Sindh Assembly Khawaja Izharul Hassan said that Dr Farooq Sattar would let out the much anticipated move once the press conference is held however, in case of a grand alliance for betterment of Karachi, it would be a great decision.
He said that a political party could be welcomed or rejected on the basis of performance in politics.
The opposition leader further urged the people to wait for Dr Sattar s briefing to the media at 06:00pm and avoid speculating beforehand.
Faisal Sabzwari says talks to continue
While talking to the media, Faisal Sabzwari of MQMP said that the press conference is to be convened once a meeting of the coordination committee concludes. He claimed that appointment holders of MQMP were martyred however, the victimization could not deter the people as they want to join the political party.
Sabzwari said that MQMP organised an All Parties Conference (APC) in the recent past and incidence of talks among parties would continue.
MQMP had earlier postponed an APC in August as Pakistan Tehreek-e-Insaf (PTI), Pakistan People s Party (PPP), Jamaat-e-Islami (JI) and Awami National Party (ANP).
At the time, Dr Sattar said that all parties had assured to participate in the meeting but a sudden boycott announcement was incomprehensible.
He asserted that no formal refusal was extended and MQMP learnt of the development through media updates.
Sattar said MQMP is the second largest party of Sindh that always displayed exemplary adherence to the Constitution of Pakistan.
Dr Ishratul Ibad welcomes alliance, if true
Former governor of Sindh, Dr Ishratul Ibad has welcomed the idea of MQMP and PSP joining hands, if the two parties are at all, for a bigger cause, the welfare of the people of Karachi and Sindh.
However, he denied having made up his mind yet to join either of the political parties.
Dr Ibad also said that he has no idea what leadership of the two parties have decided to announce in the press conference. Ibad who served as Sindh governor for 14 years said in a media talk that there are wise men present on both the sides, MQMP as well as PSP.
