Pakistani DGMO condemned the targetting of civilian population on Pakistani side of the LoC

ISLAMABAD (Dunya News) – According to the ISPR, Pakistani Director General of Military Operations Sahir Shamshad spoke with his Indian counterpart on a special hotline and condemned the Indian targetting of innocent civilian population on Pakistani side of the LoC.

The Pakistani DGMO also made it clear on the phone that the unprovoked Indian firing is also the violation of 2003 Ceasefire Agreement that was mutually signed.

While rejecting Indian allegations of civilian casualties by Pakistani firing across the LoC, Pakistani DGMO clarified that they consider the people living acorss the LoC as their Kashmiri Brothers and claimed that Pakistan Army being a professional army, has never been invovled in such activitites.

Earlier in June this year, a similar hotline was established between Pak-India DGMOs after India allegedly violated the Ceasefire Agreement and resorted to unprovoked firing, killing civilians, accusing them to be infilterators while Pakistani DGMO deemed the act of killing civilians merely on suspicions without any evidence as highly unprofessional.
