Poisonous lassi claims five lives in Muzaffargarh
Police say that postpartum of the dead bodies will be conducted and interrogation will be held.
MUZAFFARGARH (Dunya News) – At least five people were killed after consuming poisonous lassi in Muzaffargarh’s Alipur district on Thursday.
A woman Hafeeza Mai, his three sons Amjad, Nazeer and Shehbaz alongwith their close relative died after the consumption of poisonous lassi and butter. Meanwhile, 13 more people are in unstable condition.
Locals shifted the affectees to Nishtar hospital Multan and District Headquarter (DHQ) hospital DG Khan under self-help due to lack of rescue services.
Police say that postpartum of the dead bodies will be conducted and interrogation will be held. DC Muzaffargarh Saif Anwar Jappa said that a team has been sent at the scene for interrogation.
