PPP, PTI and PML (Q) to raise the issue in Punjab Assembly and LHC to hold case hearing tomorrow

LAHORE (Dunya News) – Opposition has decided to raise the issue of ‘Punjab Companies Scandal’ in Punjab Assembly and demanded that the issue be discussed for at least two days in assembly.

There are irregularities, worth Rs-80 billion in 56 Punjab Companies. The scandal came to light after it was aired on ‘Dunya News’

As a direct result of Dunya News’ coverage of the issue, Punjab’s ‘Saaf Paani Company’ has its report completed which will be presented to the CM tomorrow. The report includes Company’s objectives, funding and various other aspects.

On the other hand, it has been revealed that Faisalabad Parking Company had hired “Ghost Employees” and fake degree holder inspectors, right under the nose of the government.

Advocate Azhar Siddique has filed a petition against the Punjab companies scandal in Lahore High Court which has been cleared for hearing on Wednesday.

Earlier, the finance department had confessed that Punjab government has been violating the ‘Information Act’. The department made it clear that foreign loans were issued to the companies and terms of agreement prevent the department from revealing further information.

The finance department referred all queries to the federal government, stressing that any further information will be revealed only after permission is granted from the federal government.
