Shehbaz Sharif called it unacceptable that such service is provided in government hospitals. He said he was appalled at the callousness demonstrated by the hospital. Punjab CM asked how officials can behave this way when they are paid out of people s taxes.
The woman eventually had to give birth in front of the hospital gate during morning hours because staff refused to treat her. Sameera Bibi was experiencing labour pains at the time of entry and no doctors were available in the hospital on duty.
