His purpose of delivering an address in NA-4 is not to procure votes, claims former president

NOWSHERA (Dunya News) – Former president Asif Ali Zardari has rhetorically questioned the people of Khyber Pakhtunkhwa on Wednesday how could chief minister Pervaiz Khattak make a ‘new Pakistan’ when he could not build a ‘new Nowshera’, his hometown.

Zardari addressed a rally of workers of Pakistan People’s Party in Nowshera and in his speech he criticised Pakistan Tehreek-e-Insaf and Awami National Party for their alleged interest-based politics at expense of the people.

He claimed that his purpose of delivering an address in NA-4 is not to procure votes. He alleged Tehreek-e-Insaf and Awami National Party of having resorted to ‘cutting deals’ for more votes in Senate.

Zardari said that unlike PTI, he has given identity to Pakhtoons so that they keep their identity associated with Pakistan.

The former president said that he cannot bring to mouth the brutality Muslims in India are being subjected to. He claimed that Pakistan is faced with threats in the present times.

He asserted that Pakistan People’s Party would walk side by side with Pakhtoons.
