Ahsan Iqbal to leave for United States today

Ahsan Iqbal will attend the annual session of IMF and World Bank on October 11.

ISLAMABAD (Dunya News) – Interior Minister Ahsan Iqbal will leave for the United States today (Tuesday) to participate in the annual session of International Monetary Fund (IMF) and World Bank on October 11.

It has been learnt that Ahsan Iqbal will raise the matter of United States Secretary of Defense James Mattis’ recent statement against China-Pakistan Economic Corridor (CPEC), and conduct meetings with leaders of different countries on the sidelines of the session.

The purpose of these meetings will be to take the world leaders into confidence regarding CPEC, and to seek their support in anti-drugs operation.

Sources have further revealed that the interior minister will give lectures on the role of CPEC at School of Advanced International Studies and Johns Hopkins University.
