Sheikh Rashid issues ultimatum over alteration in Khatam-e-Nabuwat clause
Speaker Ayaz Sadiq stated that alteration was a clerical mistake.
ISLAMABAD (Dunya News)- Awami Muslim League Chief Sheikh Rashid Ahmad has on Wednesday issued an ultimatum to federal govt pertaining to alteration in Finality of Prophet-hood (Khatam-e-Nabuwat) clause.
Exasperated lawmaker, in his video message, asked govt to either restore clause in its original form before Friday prayers or be ready to face countrywide protests.
Meanwhile, National Assembly Speaker Ayaz Sadiq stated that alteration was a clerical mistake and clause would be restored in its original form.
He was talking to media in Islamabad with Law Minister Zahid Hamid and Pakistan Tehreek-e-Insaf’s leader Shah Mehmood Qureshi.
