ISLAMABAD (Dunya News) – National Accountability Bureau has filed a list comprising of 28 witnesses in accountability court who would testify against finance minister Ishaq Dar in case over alleged assets beyond means.

dunyanews.tv has obtained a copy of the list.

Wajid Zia, additional director general of the Federal Investigation Agency who led the Joint Investigation Team proceedings against Nawaz Sharif’s family earlier this year is among the witnesses.

Reportedly eight officials of the accountability bureau are among the 28 listed while two officials of a private bank would record their statements on October 4.

Qaboos Aziz, sacked NADRA employee, representatives of Federal Board of Revenue, election commission, national investment trust, LDA and assistant commissioner Raiwind among other departments would testify.

Accounts manager and senior vice president of a private bank would record their statement before the court on October 4th after court had issued orders for the purpose.

The Joint Investigation Team was formed by the apex court in a verdict delivered on April 20th which concluded its findings in two months and filed a report early July.

Following which, the five-member top court bench disqualified the then premier in the corruption reference.

In its verdict, the apex court had ordered filing of references against Nawaz Sharif, his family and relative and minister Ishaq Dar, proceedings of which were to be overseen by a judge.

In compliance to the order, the accountability bureau pursued cases against the former first family of Pakistan and Dar.

Dar earlier appeared before the accountability court earlier this week during which he was indicted and had denied the charges.
