DUSHANBE (Dunya News) – Army chief General Qamar Javed Bajwa has said on Sunday while addressing four-day anti-terrorism mechanism conference in Tajikistan that Pakistan cannot ‘bring home’ Afghan war.

He said that terrorism could be defeated through intelligence sharing and border management. General Bajwa said that Pakistan has indiscriminately targeted terrorists belonging to all outfits.

The army chief convened a meeting with his Afghan counterpart following the conference during which the Afghan chief expressed willingness to form a joint working body.

The joitn military group would put forth its recommendations to address reservations of the two neighbouring governments.

Media cell of the military reported that the member states of the conference signed memorandum regarding anti-terror cooperation.

The agreement would be enacted after the member governments’ formal approval.
