Interior minister also criticised former President Pervez Musharraf for not facing accountability

ISLAMABAD (Dunya News) – Interior Minister Ahsan Iqbal declared that Pakistan’s determination to fight against terrorism is unshakable and it is not dependant on any country for this purpose.

Without naming, the federal minister criticised former President Pervez Musharraf for not facing accountability. He said if the country’s elected prime minister can be punished by court then those who fled the country can also be punished.

He stated that ex-President violated Pakistan’s constitution and pushed the country into the game of blood and fire. “He (Musharraf) can give interviews, but not face the law,” he complained.

Ahsan Iqbal believes that National Database and Registration Authority (NADRA) will play an important role in 2018 general elections. He urged the wide scale use of smart identity cards so that bad practices can be stopped.
