Pakistan Halal Authority remains dysfunctional since formation
Pakistan imports food items worth $3-4 billion annually.
ISLAMABAD (Dunya News) – Due to the ineligibility of the higher officials of the Ministry of Science and Technology, Pakistan Halal Authority remains dysfunctional over the two years since its formation.
The authority was built for the prevention of import of haram food. According to sources, food items worth $3-4 billion are annually brought in Pakistan from Far East, Europe, America and other countries.
Furthermore, there are chance that the food items that come from these regions may include haram ingredients in them.
