'Article 62 and 63 shouldn't be repealed, will accept if disqualified'
PTI Chairman Imran Khan supports the conditions of being Sadiq and Ameen for premiership
ISLAMABAD (Dunya News) – Pakistan Tehreek-e-Insaf (PTI) Chairman Imran Khan supported the Article 62 and 63 in the constitution, adding that he will accept if the apex court disqualifies him in London flat case.
In an interview with Kamran Shahid, he opined that a leader should be honest and sagacious. “How will people develop trust if leaders are not honest?” he asked. On June 28, Supreme Court had disqualified Nawaz Sharif while ruling on Panama Papers case under Article 62, in view of his Dubai employement and UAE Iqama.
On Javed Hashmi
He said that ex-PTI leader Javed Hashmi disappointed him the most in politics, calling him a liar who was reported to sell party tickets in return for large sums of money. “The report against Hashmi was concealed,” he told.
Imran recalled that the Supreme Court heard their petition over Panama Leaks against the Sharif family during Islamabad Lockdown scene. The court gave remarks that there is anarchy in the state and advised to solve issues legally, he told.
Clarification on Justice Khosa s advice
On the controversial statement that Justice Asif Saeed Khan Khosa told Imran Khan to take Panama case in the apex court, he clarified that the judge never talked to him privately. “Owner of a private news organisation is conspiring against me,” he claimed.
