Ishaq Dar, Shehbaz Sharif and Saad Rafique met Ch Nisar to reconcile PML-N in political turmoil

ISLAMABAD (Dunya News) – Punjab Chief Minister Shehbaz Sharif, Finance Minister Ishaq Dar and Railways Minister Saad Rafique have met Interior Minister Chaudhry Nisar Ali Khan on Wednesday to clear the air within the spheres of Pakistan Muslim League-Nawaz (PML-N).

In a meeting at Punjab House of capital, the top-tier leadership of the ruling party tried their best to convince the interior minister so that he can pledge his support to Prime Minister Nawaz Sharif in the time of political turmoil.

The sole purpose of the gathering was to listen to the concerns of Nisar so that he can end his ‘rift’ with other party leaders, according to sources. Shehbaz Sharif left the Punjab House as soon as he voiced support with Nisar and listened to his concerns.

However, Nisar is yet to confirm cancellation of the much-awaited press conference. Sources said that the PML-N leader is relying on the press talk to address his grievances. Shehbaz Sharif and Ch Nisar might meet again tomorrow despite the 4-hour meeting today.

Nisar had delayed his media talk on Sunday due to severe backache and again on Monday following the Lahore blast near Arfa Software Technology Park. It is expected that he will hold a press conference to address his opinions regarding Panama case, rift with PML-N and whether PM should resign soon.
