JIT has completed its job, who you are going to fight with now, Opposition Leader asks PM

ISLAMABAD: (Dunya News) – Opposition Leader in National Assembly Khurshid Shah has on Thursday advised Prime Minister (PM) Nawaz Sharif to appoint someone else from Pakistan Muslim League – Nawaz (PML-N) and complete the tenure if he trusts his party, reported Dunya News.

Holding a press conference in the capital city today, Khurshid Shah told the prime minister that the ruling party didn’t possess the strength to go on offensive against the rest of the political parties. He said that since the JIT had completed its work, was the PM and party planning a confrontation with the Supreme Court.

He reminded PM of his confrontation with the apex court in the past. He cleared that his Pakistan People’s Party (PPP) stood firm with the institutions. “We have sacrificed leaders for democracy, were subjected to severe lashings for the same. Today slogans are being raised but Joint Investigation Team (JIT) faced no pressure from the Opposition. Those making all these tall claims today must tell the nation what they have done in the last four years”, he said.

Khurshid Shah claimed that the farmers were suffering under the current regime, labourers are on roads demanding their salaries and rights, load shedding has increased from 6 hours a day in PPP regime to 9 hours a day now. He alleged that only those projects were completed in which corruption could be done.

Shah added that when Nawaz Sharif was asked about the Qatari letter, he responded that his son Hussain Nawaz would know about it.

“Today, every Pakistani is in debt worth Rs 125,700”, he claimed.

The opposition leader said that it was a shame that PM’s resignation was discussed in the cabinet meeting. He said that Nawaz Sharif had no justification to stay in his position anymore. He reaffirmed his faith in the Supreme Court on the occasion.
