Opposition leader advised PM Nawaz to save democracy rather than adopting a policy of conflict

ISLAMABAD (Dunya News) – After the much-talked-about Joint Investigation Team (JIT) report on Panama case, opposition leader Khurshid Shah has been actively demanding resignation from Prime Minister Nawaz Sharif.

He has not only communicated with other lawmakers but also predicted resignation from the premier within next ten days. The Pakistan Peoples Party (PPP) leader argued that the country will have to bear great loss if PM Nawaz doesn’t resign.

Shah predicted, “Prime Minister will resign within the next ten days,” suggesting that he should save democracy rather than adopting the policy of conflict. He called PM’s own ‘aides’ responsible for the ongoing political crisis. “His own friends brought him here,” he stated.

While commenting on Interior Minister Chaudhry Nisar, he said the state minister did the right thing by not speaking on this issue. He told that contacts were made with Shah Mehmood Qureshi, Siraj-ul-Haq, Ghulam Ahmad Bilour, Farooq Sattar, PML-Q and other leaders. “No requisition made to call National Assembly session,” he stated.

It should be noted that the ex-PML-N leader has suggested PM Nawaz to resign and allow Chaudhry Nisar or Ahsan Iqbal to take his position.
