PM Nawaz assures to take steps for national security
The premier said that Pakistan will continue to support Kashmiris.
ISLAMABAD (Dunya News) – Prime Minister (PM) Nawaz Sharif on Friday has assured to take all the possible steps in order to ensure national security.
Chairing a high-level meeting at Foreign Office, the premier said that Pakistan will continue to support Kashmiris. He announced to speed up efforts for the unity of Muslim nation across the world while he also appreciated Chinese investment in Pakistan.
On the occasion, Adviser on Foreign Affairs Sartaj Aziz briefed the prime minister about important foreign affairs issues.
The meeting was also attended amongst others by Finance Minister Ishaq Dar and senior officials of the foreign office.
Earlier, Foreign Office summoned the Acting Indian Deputy High Commissioner Raghuram and condemned the unprovoked ceasefire resulting in martyrdom of one civilian and injuries to four others.
He was told that deliberate targeting of civilians is indeed deplorable and contrary to human dignity and international human rights and humanitarian laws.
Pakistan also urged the Indian side to respect the ceasefire arrangement; investigate this and other incidents of ceasefire violations.
