Man attacks Sheikh Rasheed outside parliament, demands to return Rs 2.2 mn

ISLAMABAD (Dunya News) – A man on Thursday stopped Chairman Awami Muslim League Sheikh Rasheed Ahmed outside the parliament, demanding him to return his Rs 2.2 million.

Malik Noor Awan, who is a president of Pakistan Muslim League-Nawaz (PML-N) Japan faction, alleged that AML chief had taken Rs2.2 million from him about 15 years ago as a loan to purchase a vehicle.

He said that no political party is backing him and that he came to the parliament by his own. He also demanded the authorities to help him in recovering the money from Sheikh Rasheed.



Getting information about the incident, Interior Minister Chaudhry Nisar came to Sheikh Rasheed and got details of the mishap after which, Malik Noor Awan was taken into custody.

On the other hand, Sheikh Rasheed has accused that "Malik Noor Awan is a ‘Gullu Butt’ of PML-N and that Sharif brothers would be responsible if anything happens to me."
