PM meets Mamnoon Hussain, discusses internal, external security situation

ISLAMABAD (Web Desk) - Prime Minister Nawaz Sharif called on President Mamnoon Hussain in Islamabad on Thursday and discussed matters of key importance.

Issues relating to country’s internal and external security situation were also taken under consideration during the meeting. The premier also briefed the President about the details of meeting of Cabinet’s National Security Committee held on Wednesday.

The president was also apprised of the One Belt One Road (OBOR) Summit held in China last month. They expressed satisfaction over the pace of ongoing projects under the CPEC. 

On the other hand, President Mamnoon Hussain will address the session on the beginning of the fifth and last parliamentary year today and will highlight the achievements of the government in diverse sectors, including war against terrorism, law and order, economic challenges, power generation and agriculture.
