Dar calling Marriyum Aurangzeb 'daughter' triggers opposition's criticism

ISLAMABAD (Daily Dunya) – Calling Minister of State for Information Marriyum Aurangzeb as ‘daughter’ during the session costs a lot to Finance Minister Ishaq Dar as opposition strongly condemned it, asking him to call females as respected members.

The opposition said that it’s unethical to call females as sisters and sometimes as daughters. They are respectful, therefore, they should be treated like that.

The speaker said that anyone can call female members as sister and daughter as there is nothing wrong in it over which the women parliamentarians asked to respect them and take them as colleagues.

Moreover, the finance minister made correction and proceeded the speech while calling Marriyum Aurangzeb as ‘respected information minister’.
