SKARDU (Dunya News) - In response to Indian threats, the Pakistan Air Force (PAF) has activated all forward operational bases.

As per details, Chief of Air Staff Air Chief Marshal Sohail Aman visited the forward bases in Skardu to meet the pilots and technical staff of the fighting force. A fighter squadron carried out higher and lower altitude flights near Siachen.

Sohail Aman also participated in the air exercises by flying a Mirage aircraft.

Later speaking to media persons, the Air Chief said exercises were the part of PAF’s routine training.

“Pakistan Air Force is the battle-hardened force and we continue to ensure our operational preparedness 24/7,” he said.

Sohail Aman said PAF had proven to be the best in the world by carrying out Operation Zarb-e-Azb in a highly professional manner for last two and an half years, without even a single incident of collateral damage. While in the world, collateral damages are reported in such kind of military operations carried out by top world forces, he added.

PAF, the Air Chief said, was in complete synergy with its sister Armed Forces to carry out all operations to fight against terrorism.

It may be mentioned here that Indian Air Chief Marshal B S Dhanoa on May 20 wrote a personal letter to each officer of the Indian Air Force (IAF), asking them to be prepared for operations, with the present scenario, at a very short notice.

“In the present scenario, there is an ever persistent sub-conventional threat. Therefore, we need to be prepared for operations with our present holdings, at a very short notice. Training needs to be focused towards this,” states the letter received by nearly 12,000 officers of the IAF.

The Indian Express reported that the letter — signed and sent on March 30 — covers a range of issues, especially those in the conflict-ridden state of Jammu and Kashmir.
