Ambassador Sabine lauds Pakistan Army's efforts for regional peace, stability

Matters of mutual interest including regional security issues were discussed during the meeting.

RAWALPINDI (Web Desk) - Ambassador Sabine Sparwasser, German Special Representative for Pakistan-Afghanistan, met Chief of Army Staff General Qamar Javed Bajwa today (Thursday) in Rawalpindi.

According to Inter-Services Public Relations (ISPR) press release, matters of mutual interest including regional security issues with particular emphasis on Pak-Afg border management were discussed during the meeting.

The visiting dignitary acknowledged Pakistan Army s contributions towards regional peace and stability.

Earlier, Chief of Army Staff of Sri Lanka Lieutenant General A.W.J.C De Silva had meet Army Chief General Qamar Javed Bajwa at General Headquarters in Rawalpindi.

Both sides reaffirmed their determination to work together for enhancing regional security and continuing existing military cooperation.

Sri Lankan Army Chief thanked Pakistan for incessant support to fight against terrorism and hoped to completely overcome this menace in near future.
