Wicket: Former PML-N leader from Sialkot joins PTI
Chaudhry Akhlaq used to be a close aide of Water and Power Minister Khawaja Muhammad Asif
RAWALPINDI: (Dunya News) – Pakistan Tehreek-e-Insaf (PTI) on Tuesday was able to take the wicket of former close aide of Minister for Water and Power Khawaja Muhammad Asif in Sialkot as Chaudhry Akhlaq joined Imran Khan’s party, reported Dunya News.
Chaudhry Akhlaq met Imran Khan at the latter’s Bani Gala residence today and announced joining PTI. The meeting was also attended by senior PTI leaders Jahangir Tareen, Usman Dar and Umar Dar.
Chaudhry Akhlaq remained with Pakistan Muslim League – Nawaz (PML-N) for 25 years but he decided to part ways today and joined PTI. He was considered one of Khawaja Asif’s closest companions.
