PML-N had earlier dared PTI Chief to name the person who offered him such hefty bribe

ISLAMABAD (Dunya News) – Imran Khan said on Wednesday that it was none other than Shehbaz Sharif’s close ally who offered him Rs 10 billion bribe to stay silent on Panama Leaks case.

Marriyam Aurangzeb, as a representative of the ruling party PML-N, had earlier stated that the PTI Chairman was lying about being offered Rs 10 billion bribe from PML-N to remain silent on Panama Papers. “Imran Khan should dare name the person who offered him bribe for moral courage,” she said.

While responding to the allegations of lying by Pakistan Muslim League-Nawaz (PML-N), PTI Chief claimed that he knew Nawaz Sharif from the time he used to send sweets to the homes of bureaucrats in exchange of favours. “Who has not been bribed by him?” he asked.

Imran Khan accused Nawaz Sharif of starting ‘envelope journalism’ in the country. He also said, “Nawaz Sharif once sent BMW car keys to Asif Zardari in Murree.”

He elaborated his side of the story by telling that he was offered a bribe through a middle man and not by a phone call, adding that the man who made bribe offer was one of Shehbaz Sharif’s close allies. “I cannot name the person as he will get in trouble,” he added.
